Bailgate Independent Interview

In our interview for January’s edition of the Bailgate Independent, we discussed all of our latest business ventures and how we work as a company.

In the article, Sam revealed how the business became named Salted Orange: “The name came from a dish I created whilst competing on MasterChef,” said Sam. “It’s different and grabs attention, rather like the service we offer.”

Sam also revealed more about the process of creating a menu to the Bailgate Independent; “We have sample menus for clients to look at but nearly everything we do is bespoke. We love different challenges and feel almost nothing is beyond our capabilities.”

Wedding Marquee

In the article, we also confirmed that in the summer we’re setting up a semi-permanent marquee in a village near Lincoln to cater specifically for weddings. Weddings will be at an all-in price of £12,000 for 100 people to include lunch and evening food, but you’re best off contacting us for full details.

Any event can be catered for including hog roasts, BBQ’s, afternoon tea, canapés, 3 course menus, working lunches and of course wedding breakfasts and buffets. We have worked on functions for 350 people but we’re also quite happy to cater for smaller, more intimate functions.

Pop-up Kitchen

We also have plans for a pop-up kitchen in a new unit close to Lincoln. The unit will be for the preparation of events food, but chefs will also offer lunches where you can actually see the food being cooked in front of you.
