Our day at the Wedding Event with a Difference!

We have just come back from a busy Sunday at Save the Date Magazine’s Wedding Event with a Difference.

At Salted Orange we had a wonderful time meeting engaged couples who came from near and far to get inspiration for their big day. Everyone we spoke to needed that flash of inspiration and ideas. Looking online at Pinterest boards is not the same as physically looking at ideas and most importantly: tasting our food!

We started setting up late afternoon on the previous day, also bringing a mini photo area for people to use! This was a fully digital photo booth so everything could be tweeted and but on social media right away. People loved to use different filters, like moustaches and hats!

Up early for the main wedding event

On Sunday morning we arrived bright and early at the Wedding Event with a Difference around 9am to get our finishing touches done. For us, this meant prepping our free samples. We provided mini sliders filled with a choice of Cajun pulled chicken, pulled beef, pulled pork and a vegetable broth: with a little kick of hot sauce!

Giving potential customers a taste of what our street food is so important. As a wedding caterer, we have to be diverse in what we provide. From fine dining to evening street food to feed the party: we can do everything for a big day and strive to go above and beyond to do so.

By the end of the day we had run out of our samples: obviously going down treat with those coming to visit us!

We had a few moments of down time during the day to watch the fashion shows organised by the Wedding Event with a Difference. There really were some stunning dresses shown for both the brides and their bridesmaids.

By 4pm the show had finished so we packed up and headed back home for a well-deserved cup of tea and rest. We loved working the Wedding Event with a Difference, and it makes us look forward to our shows in the coming year!
