A super easy recipe perfect for afternoon tea in the sunshine now the weather is warming up. Best served warm, with clotted cream and jam.

Ingredients (makes 32)

  • 1.2kg Self-raising flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 eggs
  • 850g buttermilk
  • 50g sugar
  • 100g cold butter
  • Fruit – 250 g sultanas


Combine together in a mixer, roll out and cut.

Use greaseproof paper and bake at 220 degrees for 12-15 minutes
