My preference has always been an American pancake stack rather than the more traditional crepe. I’m not sure why. Probably because they are unhealthy and delicious!

Pancake Ingredients

  • 200g plain flour sieved
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1heaped teaspoon of baking powder
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of caster sugar
  • 250-275g milk
  • 1 egg
  • 50g butter for frying

Equipment

  • 200g plain flour sieved

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Pass through a strainer into a jug or another tall vessel.
  3. Heat up the frying pan and add a bit of the butter, wipe the pan dry with some paper towel then add a ladel of the pancake mix
  4. Repeat until all the mix is used and serve with your chosen toppings!
